The Continental Mark II is a rare and elegant classic built by the newly created Continental Division of the Ford Motor Company in 1956 and 1957. Built to be the most expensive and luxurious American car available, it was priced higher than Cadillac, Packard and Imperial. The Mark II sold for $9,996 (with the only option being air conditioning), the equivalent of a new Rolls-Royce at the time. Each car was built to exacting standards, each nut and bolt was hand torqued and the engines individually hand balanced. Upon completion each car was fitted with a fleece lined cover before shipping to dealers. This example is presented in Presidential Black with the correct red "Bridge of Weir" leather hides. Options include:

368 C.I. (6.0L) V8 4BBL Engine/285 H.P.
