454 BBL El Camino!

This '72 El Camino was restored under prior ownership, as this was a non-matching car, the previous owner was free to modify the original design of the car. This process began by adding a 1971 "SS" appearance package complete with the domed SS hood grill, emblems and of course the iconic SS striping that these cars are known for. To go with all of the appearance upgrades, the original small block V8 was replaced with a performance built 454 CI V8. Here in Texas there is no point to having a performance big block without the means to keep it cool so a heavy-duty aluminum radiator (with dual electric fans) was fitted under the hood. In addition to keeping the engine cool, keeping the interior and passengers comfortable is also of importance here, to that end a modern high efficiency air-conditioning system was added, replacing the original factory unit. A very nice build, great performance and styling with the utility of a pick up, ready to drive and enjoy.
