The Pontiac Historical Society Documentation (PHS) confirms this GTO Convertible was originally ordered in code P "Iris Mist", a rare 1 year only production color. At some point in the past, a period correct "WS" code 389/360 H.P. 4BBL engine with "Tri-Power" was added to this "WT" code 389/335 H.P. 4 BBL car. It performs impressively both in town and when cruising down the highway courtesy of the Muncie 4-speed manual transmission which in this case is matched to a 3.23 rear axle ratio. The structure of the body, undercarriage and trunk floors are excellent, the exterior has been professionally refinished and has exceptionally nice panel gap and fit. The additional time was taken during the exterior restoration to include the polishing of all the stainless trim which compliments the high quality finish. The interior is parchment and black with a matching white top and boot, a perfect contrast for the Iris Mist exterior color.
